Middlesbrough fans were not happy with Britt Assombalonga’s performance in Saturday’s playoff defeat, and they’re desperate for a team change on Tuesday night.

Tony Pulis’s Boro travel to Villa Park on Tuesday night knowing they need to score at least once to have a chance of going to Wembley, and fans have been debating a striker swap.

Assombalonga missed a few decent chances in Saturday’s loss, and Patrick Bamford will be raring to go.

Bamford has 13 goals in all competitions this season, and scored in the final day draw with Ipswich.

Boro were by far the better team in the first leg, and although Villa will attack more at Villa Park, the visitors will surely get a couple of chances.

The young striker can play in multiple positions across the attack, so Pulis could yet opt to select both him and Assombalonga.
