Going by his history and his pedigree in League One Grigg should be a key player for the Black Cats, but his return of seven goals in 42 games means he has hugely disappointed.

The Northern Ireland international struggled under Jack Ross and although he has the backing of his new manager he has still continued to underwhelm, aside from a goal against Tranmere, and until he picks up his form he may be subject to more criticism from fans.
